Linda, an enrolled member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe, is a multiple award winning artist whose ledger drawings have been acquired by museums throughout the U.S. She is considered one of the leading contemporary artists utilizing the traditional male graphic-narrative art form known as, pictography.

Linda Haukaas' subject matter ranges from the reflective observations of tribal art as a commodity to the depiction of Sicangu women emersed from the demands of daily life.
